Utah residents, fellow citizens, and friends from around the world: welcome to the official website for Sam Parker’s campaign for the US Senate from Utah.
Sam has called Utah home since 1995, and he has deep ancestral roots here that go back to the 1850s. His great-great-grandfather once owned the best beer hall in Salt Lake City: Fountains Beer Hall on Main Street—one block south of Temple Square. His grandchild—Sam's grandfather—later eloped...to the LDS Manti Temple, in 1933.
Perhaps it's this "rebellious" streak—re-emergent in alternating generations of his family tree—that compels Sam to run against former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney for the US Senate. By many accounts, Governor Romney’s senate coronation is a foregone conclusion. Regardless of this current “consensus,” Sam is running anyway to provide Utah with a truly conservative, limited-government alternative. Romney's 29-county tour of Utah does nothing to change the fact that Mitt Romney is still just running for Mitt Romney, and no amount of county visits changes that. On the other hand, Sam Parker is running for Utah.
Since Mitt and his campaign army marched into town, they’ve cleared the field of several would-be challengers. However, many Utahns are justifiably unhappy with this “invasion.” Therefore, Sam has chosen to step up and make a stand against the elites, cronies and big-government insiders who would prefer to see Mitt Romney join their club in the District of Corruption. Sam believes Utahns prefer a person of the people who will partner with like-minded individuals to fight specifically for Utah, liberty, and America first.
Sam advocates chipping away at and tearing down the massive, overgrown and unconstitutional federal-power establishment and in Making American Government Local Again (MAGLA). He adheres to what some call the American Trinity: Liberty, E Pluribus Unum, and In God We Trust. These principles have traditionally formed the bedrock of American society, and are the basis for Sam's political and policy positions.
Say YES to Sam, and NO to the East-Coast Establishment candidate, Mitt Romney.
